Life is Short, Play More. Yoga in the Blue Zone.

Athens cardiologist Subodh Agrawal is participating in the Human Yoga Project and wants to create a Blue Zone in the Athens area.

Blue Zones are areas of the world where residents practice wellness habits shown to increase life expectancy by up to 10 years, develop 1/6 the rate of heart disease, and have 1/5 the rate of colon and breast cancer. It’s a community-wide approach to wellbeing that makes it easy for people to make healthy choices.

Agrawal has taken a first step by teaming with yoga instructors Traci Jo Lee and Tom Camp to offer free yoga classes to all his employees and time to work on the principles during the day.

They also offer free classes to the public on Sunday afternoons with the goal of simplifying the practice of yoga and making it more accessible.

RSVP at 706.202.9690.

Mats provided, 2 – 4 pm at 1307 Cleveland Rd. Check out www.bluezones.com.
