Good news for film buffs

AthensCiné, the local arthouse cinema at 235 Hancock St, met their fundraising goal and were able to secure a loan to purchase their building before the June 30 deadline when it would have been listed on the open market.

Fundraising efforts will continue as part of the three-year, $2.5 million capital campaign begun last year.

One important and continuing way to support Ciné is buying a membership, which includes a variety of benefits such as screening passes, popcorn and free parking.
